| Connectors HICON is a company with production facilities in Germany, many European countries, and Asia (Japan and Taiwan). The HICON company is pro-innovation and willing to seek special solutions for complex technical problems in media technology that other companies have not been able to come up with. The fact that these products are a bit more expensive should be clear to all of those who have tried to build a high quality adapter themselves. But HICON also offers a large selection of high quality plug connectors at very reasonable prices. It definitely pays off to compare prices and quality! HICON connectors are known and valued for high plug cycles and easy handling. A high quality product can often be recognized by the facts that knock-offs turn up only a few months after they have been introduced to the market. The following example illustrates a few differences between a genuine HICON and low quality products: Before you invest in an RCA-plug connector you should be sure that you are purchasing brand name quality. Low quality connectors often have a high transmission resistance, thus voiding the advantages of a good audio cable. This is what you should look for: • Proper gold-plating or coating (cheap connectors are only painted!) • A solid pin without interferences created by rivets, embossing, etc. • Low transmission resistance High quality HICON connectors have a patented pressing clip for best possible contact. Unscrew the housing lightly, push the plug into the socket and return it to the back. The plug is seated so tightly that it can only be pulled by unscrewing the plug housing. This function makes the series suitable for medical-technical applications or in language laboratories, etc. Products identified by the SYSBOXX-Logo are suitable for our modular SYSBOXX (see "Modular Systems").
