Before you buy a plug connector, you should be sure that you are purchasing brand name quality. Connectors of inferior quality often have a high transmission resistance, which can void the advantages of a good audio cable.
This is what you should look for:
- Proper gold-plating or coating (cheap connectors are only pained!)
- A solid pin without interference from rivets, embossings, etc.
- A low transmission resistance
