or better said, you will be able to reach the simple speed of light with our SC-OCTOPUS PUR LWL cable. With this cable you can transmit your audio-digital signal for distances of up to 2 km. A total of either 2 or 4 fibres have a core diameter of either 50/125 µm (multi-mode) or 9/125 µm (single-mode) are housed in a robust PE-jacket of approx. 6 mm (2 fibres = 5 mm) in diameter with die-electric protection (rodent protection). The SC-OCTOPUS PUR LWL is windable, suitable for ground installation, and thus ideal for mobile application. Further information is available under "Premade Cables - Various".
We supply the SC-OCTOPUS PUR premade with NEUTRIK OpticalCon (2 fibres) or with ST- or SC-connectors (4 fibres) incl. measuring protocol (other premade versions are available upon request).The OpticalCon-connector by NEUTRIK is based on an optical LC-duplex standard connection and consists of a chassis and a cable plug housing. The robust system protects cable and LC-plug against soiling with an automatically closing protective cap with silicone seal. The OpticalCon-connector can be locked with the push-pull concept and has a strain relief. The PUR LWL-cable is usually supplied with 2 fibres multi-mode 50/125 µm or single-mode 9/125 µm.

As an OpticalCon special version (upon request) we deliver the multi-mode 50/125µ PUR-cable with four additional AWG18 copper cables for power supply or data transmission (overall diameter 9 mm) and the single-mode 9/125µ-cable with 2 x AWG14/16 (overall diameter 9.2 mm - but here in PVC instead of PUR).
