It may not be obvious...
if a cable is only gold-laquered or actually gold-plated. Even expensive packaging will not upgrade a low quality cable. It is very important to use cables of equal quality for high quality equipment as is used in HiFi- and mastering studios.
All of our gold-plated plug connectors are really and truly "genuinely gold-plated". They are regularly tested for good contact properties and transmission resistance and manufactured with original SOMMER CABLEs in our technical department. Our cables are hand-soldered with silver solder and our plug connectors are not shrink-wrapped in plastic.
For high quality connection of your DVD-player, TV, video recorder, camcorder, and SAT-receiver, we use gold-plated S-VHS (Hosiden) S-VHS-M connectors made by HICON and our black video cable CINEMA-SV.
