| General Information PROFESSIONAL CABELING SYSTEMS ![]() Aside of the systems already introduced we have been designing and manufacturing individual solutions for professional applications for a number of years. Here we primarily use multipin plug connectors made by Ilme (100 % compatible with all common rectangular multipin systems), as well as the round, watertight Tourlock-version, which is 100 % compatible with all round connectors in compliance with the MIL-Norm. Further information, such as e.g. normed assignments, are available on the last pages of the catalogue under "Support". For stagebox casings, see our 19" casing series "BLACK BOXX" and the complete modular SYSBOXX-system - see "Modular Systems". Because of the high demands placed on cables during road operations the cable properties are important. They should be flexible and torsion-free, regardless of whether the sun heats the cable up to 50 °C outdoors in the summer or cools it down to - 20 °C in the winter. Of course, the cable should also have a strain relief and be resistant to heavy boots on stage. Mobile protection channels are available under "Mechanics & Accessories". Professional systems are usually equipped with individual shielding for each channel (separate ground). On the multipin side we equip our cable ends with Neopren insulating protection sleeves with higher flexibility and electrical strength. This permanently guarantees mechanical and electrical separation of the shielding. Further information about signal source distribution is available under "Support". ![]() We use special crimping machines to ensure that all multipin contacts receive gas-tight crimping. Contrary to soldering crimping is not dependent on temperatures (connection cold without additional materials) and contact and cable maintain their elastic properties at the location immediately behind the connection. For midsize or larger events it is common practice to distribute the signal to several locations, e.g. FOH, monitor, transmission vehicle, recording, etc. Transformers are used to prevent humming interference and additional burdens on sources created by eventual potential differences. They enable galvanic separation, increase the balance, and make the required number of outputs available. To accomplish this we use transformers manufactured to our specifications by the noble transformer forgery Lundahl of Sweden. For optimum handling and comfortable, space saving transport we recommend the multipair drum version, which is also available with an integrated multipin connection. An attractive overall solution is the case drum system "MISTER-WHEELER". Here the drum is included in the case. Detailed information is available under "Equipment & Accessories". The standard splice length is 1.20 m - other splice lengths are of course available upon request. Our splices (with our highly flexible QUANTUM- and PLANET-cables) are optionally available with a braided jacket. This increases the mechanical stability and prevents the hightly flexible inside conductors from twisting. The 6th digit of the order number ("M" for separate ground) must then be replaced by an "E" (separate ground with braided jacket) or "Z" for central ground by a "Q" (central ground with braided jacket). The systems shown are sample configurations. We will be happy to design and manufacture your individual system according to your specifications.
