The rack monitor is a great tool for pre-viewing and listening or as a matrix router for professional broadcasting and post-production applications. It can be implemented e.g. in MAZ-racks and cutting rooms. The integrated speakers, headphone-amp and the video outputs or integrated 7" TFT are some great features in a small package.

The sources can be selected using the custom-labelled buttons on the front. Each source is assigned 2 analog audio inputs (L/R) and 1 analog video input. An illuminated button indicates an activated status for the respective source.

The signals from the selected source are actively split onto all outputs
(1 x internal speakers (stereo),
1 x internal headphone amp (stereo),
1 x stereo audio balanced via XLR and
3 x composite video via BNC).

With the active split outputs the rack monitor can also be used as a copy-matrix. This feature speeds up the work in editing rooms considerably, because archived material can be converted into the respective editorial format very quickly.

The volume level on the integrated speakers and headphone-amp can be adjusted with a potentiometer on the front. The speakers can be muted with a front panel switch that illuminates in red when the mute-function is active.
Rack monitors are available in versions with up to 8 source selections (stereo audio and video), analog or digital. Rack Monitor RM4SCR features a 7" TFT preview-screen that can be switched from16:9- to 4:3-format. With the TFT-7-3-SDI you can expand image previewing by 3 to a total of 4 TFT preview-screens.
