FRIEDHELM SOMMER is full of ideas... He is the founder of SOMMER -AUTOMATIC GmbH and General Manager. He plays the cello and puts a lot of feeling into the music. He does not need any cables, but he hears very well and criticizes a lot!

RAINER BLANCK Musician & Businessman... is the General Manager at SOMMER CABLE GmbH and a hands-on kind of guy. In his spare time he is a studio musician, sings, and plays the electric guitar. Rainer managed SOMMER­AUTOMATIC GmbH for a number of years. Then he took on a new challenge as General Manager of SOMMER CABLE. He runs the company with a lot of enthusiasm and engagement. This ambitious businessman and musician made sure that SOMMER CABLE quickly advanced to become a market leader in the cable industry. 		PASCAL MIGUET is a “sound fetichist“... iHe is authorized company and product manager as well as developer at SOMMER CABLE and your top address for technical questions and details. Pascal has been working in the cable and audio business since 1990. He has the large sensitive ears typical for Frenchmen. ANDREAS BAUER ...is our “powerman“. He is an authorized company manager and head of the technical sales department. As a trumpet player he can set the tone, but first and foremost he is responsible for our international technical support and the export business. CELESTIN MIGUET He is the proud dad... of brothers Thierry and Pascal! He spent most of his life working as a construction manager for a military reprocurement company, so he is the ideal candidate to come up with dependable plug connectors that are fit for the road! As a design draftsman, he has also developed plug connectors for the HICON Series. Despite the fact that he has more than enough to do, he also translates our SOMMER CABLE catalogue into French. His hobby is his well groomed vegetable and flower garden.

PETER RIECK The obsessed one... knows everything. And that‘s how it should be, because he is our man for the development and manufacture of professional audio equipment. He has gained popularity and a certain degree of notoriety with his revolutionary technical developments and his addiction to uncompromising quality. MARTIN ELSNER The expert... has gained many years of experience in audio and studio technologies while working for Studiospares. He takes care of our technical support and is responsible for bid invitations. As an instructor for SAE he trains a lot of newcomers to the business. In private his life also revolves around music. You may run into him during his work as a sound technician in a club or studio near you. Martin Elsner likes soccer, computers, and as a Rhinelander he is currently learning the local dialect. STEFAN TINNEBERG not only stands out... because of his unusual hair style. Stefan was also one of the youngest trainees at SOMMER CABLE. Now he may not only call himself a specialist for inventory logistics, but is also responsible for the organisation of our internal manufacturing department and quality assurance for system and premade manufacturing. He knows a lot about live sound and plays both the bass and baseball (yes, we do play that game here in the south). Email:

PETRA SFERRAZZA With a license to solder... she manages our in-house and external cable production. From multicore looms to high quality HiFi and microphone cables, all the way to complex stagebox systems, she can product just about everything. She also operates and monitors our mechanical stripping and crimping machines. Petra loves cats and her garden.

TORSTEN STAUDE The uncomplicated one... is our new employee in the manufacturing department for stagebox systems and specialty cables. It may not look like it, but: Torsten is a really tough guy. He plays the guitar and writes articles for Death Metal Magazine. Torsten is – just like his colleague Martin Zwer – born in the hospital at Borna. It must have been a good vintage for technicians! Torsten is happily married and has two great sons (Noah and Niklas). He is a trained communication electronics technician and his hobbies are his guitar, home recording, and his family. Email:

MARTIN ZWER The multi-talent... is responsible for producing complex 3D drawings, the product photographs in the SOMMER CABLE catalogue and our test lab. He comes from Pegau, is good with his hands and a technology maniac, which is why he is known as the „oscilloscope” in our company. MATTHIAS VOGT hits the keys... because he loves to play both the piano and the keyboard. This is only one of the reasons why he fits into our team really well. Matthias was trained at our company as an industrial business and foreign trade management assistant. He is a great help in our Technical Support and Export Departments. ANDREA RAICH helps all over the place... in the SOMMER CABLE office. In addition to telephone support and sales, she is primarily involved in our distribution and marketing department. ALEXANDRA WIRTH is the trainee... at SOMMER CABLE . Alexandra is training to be an industrial clerk, she provides support for our sales and technical support sections and you can see straight away that she enjoys her job. BRUNO SCHRAMM He is our cool Frenchman... and manager of SOMMER CABLE in France. Despite of his German sounding name, he is a real Frenchman with German characteristics: He is ambitious, extremely dependable and somewhat impatient. His celebrates his French roots with wonderful barbeques, refined with culinary highlights. His hobbies are his family, his two children and he is an excellent bassist. DIMITRI PROKHORENKO He is our Russian bear... and has been managing SOMMER CABLE in Moscow for several years. Dimitri organises distribution efforts, takes care of administration tasks and presents our products at the most important Russian trade fairs. He also lives in Stuttgart, which makes him a “Swabian“ Russian. Dimitri not only speaks Russian, but English and perfect German as well. His passion is music and he is an excellent conductor and choirmaster.

AYLA SAMAN is the “nice saleslady“... When it comes to orders, she jumps into action. Ayla is our export manager. She processes foreign requests and takes care of the respective administrative tasks. CONNY MAST Fast and precise... that is how she manages purchasing and distribution tasks. It is her job to make sure that all plugs are purchased at the right price and that the inventory is complete. She checks on this daily and also makes sure that the supplier invoices are correct. ELKE BLANCK ...does not like to wait She makes sure that our bookkeeping is up to date and that we have enough liquidity to maintain our large inventory. RALF HÄFELINGER Our “mole“... is our company handyman and takes care of all types of repairs, such as e.g. burst pipes, plans exhibition displays, or customizes furniture, he can do it all (except speak high German). The trickier the problem, the more he gets going and will not give up until it is solved to perfection. Ralf is a craftsman and specialist in wood working, but his family definitely comes first.

RÜDIGER KÖNIG His kingdom... is our machine park. He is a trained industrial mechanic. Sometimes he supports the shipping department when thing get hectic there. He is an avid mountain biker and swimmer.

CLEMENS ÜBERSCHAER The computer expert... With Clemens SOMMER CABLE breaks new ground. Our IT-Manager Thierry is delighted to have our very first computer specialist/system integration in training. MICHAEL MATUSCHEK the man for Bits & Bytes... and colleague in the IT department. Michael trained to be an IT specialist at ´SOMMER CABLE . FLORIAN JOKISCH Is responsible... for our excellent logistics and that our shipping service runs smoothly. Like a firefighter he shows up just a the right time to make sure that hundreds of orders leave our premises every day and arrive at their destination undamaged. BJÖRN MAGAS He jumps into action... to put out any fire, because he is also a voluntary firefighter. He is a well liked member of the SOMMER CABLE logistic team and impresses with conscientiousness and energy. Björn organizes and manages our large premade cable inventory. He spends his spare time with his wife and two daughters, plays computer games, or writes for the local newspaper.

WERNER ZALL The allrounder... was at the right place at the right time and helps out stressed warehouse team with packing and unpacking. And he proves his talents as a handyman on special projects. Werner has four children and would like to have a little more time to play his keyboard.

PETER TOLL the man from Berlin... oozes with Berlin charm in our Baden-Swabian company and is responsible for our packing and warehousing sections. Peter has an extraordinary manual ability that means his work with us will never be boring. His preferred pastime involves launching innocent darts at a board.

NICOLAI MUCHE The newcomer in the logistics team... Nicolai, the youngest member of the SOMMER CABLE team, is in training to be a specialist for inventory logistics, just like his colleague Marc. In his spare time he likes sports, his Terrier “Diego“ and surfing on his computer.

STEPHAN SCHEIB He loves to get stuck in ... and wrap things up, that‘s our colleague responsible for consignments and handling, Stephan Scheib. He supports our motivated and reliable team in the warehouse. He‘s very musical outside work as well as he loves touring round as a professional DJ.

BEDIRHAN APAK a home game for our footballer... is the training ground for our new colleague as Bedirhan comes from Straubenhardt/ Conweiler. He is completing a course at SOMMER CABLE as a specialist in warehouse logistics and has strengthened our team in the consignments and handling section. He really likes playing football and is a keen swimmer.

EMRE OGUZHAN Emre is mad about sport ... and that‘s a good job as his training as a storeman needed common sense and well-trained muscles. Emre comes from the ‚city of gold‘ Pforzheim and plays football, does athletics and likes to work on computers.
