and a bit further. That is the transmission range of the SC-VECTOR PLUS 1.2/5.0, because special dimensions and construction for excessive lengths make this cable suitable for HD-SDI applications. Even as an analog cable it is really surprising: You can transmit video signals for a distance of up to 3280 ft and as an SDI-cable it does the job up to a distance of 1968 ft.The SC-VECTOR PLUS 1.2/5.0 has excellent shielding and is 100% covered by tin-plated copper braiding and AL/PT-foil. The cable is very flexible and suitable for use on a mobile cable drum.
The SC-VECTOR PLUS 1.2/5.0 is available either as a single or a 5 x coax cable with a PVC- or FRNC-jacket (according to Test Type C).
The range of the HD-SDI depends on the bitrate used (compressed or not). For 1.485 Gb/s (not compressed) the damping value is drawn on at half the bitrate (720 MHz). The cable length attainable with at a damping value of 20 dB or 30 dB is considered relevant parameter.
