the SC-AQUA MARINEX ARAMID MIKRO14 (art. 200-0131AQ) microphone cable remains watertight thanks to its special waterblocking tape and can be permanently laid at a water depth of up to 20 m. Thus it can be used for a large range of applications, from installation in amusement parks, sports arenas and wildlife parks to utilization in OB vans, near the coast or in boat building.

Its precisely fitting 6.2 mm cable diameter ensures that the cable fits perfectly with the strain relief of the HI-MARLIN connectors (art. HI-X3CM-HD-B & HI-X3CF-HD-B) and, when combined, guarantees dependable waterproofness in accordance with IP67. At the same time, the cable is particularly easy to work with and does not require any complicated maneuvers – even with standard XLR connectors. The outer jacket is resistant to salt water, fresh water, UV radiation and microbes, making the cable ideal for long-term outdoor use.

The internal aramid fibers do not only provide a reliable tension relief, for example when suspending microphones freely, but also offer additional protection against rodents.

On top of that, the cable impresses with its high flexibility in use and the following features: it is abrasion-proof, cold-flexible, reelable and ideally suited for demanding 110-ohm applications such as AES/EBU or 3-pin DMX transmissions – developed for professional users who need to rely on their technical equipment even under extreme conditions.

Perfectly adapted …to our watertight HICON IP XLR HI-MARLIN connector series is this compact and ultra robust 110-ohm microphone cable. The cable diameter of the SC-AQUA MARINEX ARAMID MIKRO14 was determined so that the cable lines up precisely with the new strain relief of the HICON HI-MARLIN connectors and guarantees a waterproofness pursuant to IP67. Of course, the cable can also be fitted with standard XLR connectors.The custom-tailored outer diameter makes this connection easy to handle and assemble with no “fiddling“. Owing to its many positive technical properties, the cable is extremely versatile in use. This connector does not only look good and lies ergonomically in the hand; due to its special design it also solves many problems an installation or event technician might be faced with.These HICON HI-MARLIN XLR connectors, which are water- and dustproof according to IP67, repel a direct water jet or infiltrating moisture and may even be put under water without impairing its function.Many new cables of the professional audio technology sector have a gas-injected foam insulation, which is why standard chuck strain reliefs are not ideal. They would squash the delicate wire insulations, thereby affecting the electrical values. Here the lamellar seal with internal grommet offers the perfect solution. The pressure of the strain relief is evenly spread over the entire cable diameter and squeezes no bumps into the jacket and insulation material. Special emphasis is placed on the locking device, which is very convenient and extremely durable.
