Dirk Zöllner

Dirk Zöllner is a German singer, songwriter and composer who has been a leading figure on the German rock and soul scene since the 1980s. Following his early success with the band Chicorée, he founded the band ‘Die Zöllner’ in 1987, with whom he continues to tour to this day and has released numerous albums.

Zöllner is best known for his distinctive voice, profound German-language lyrics and his musical versatility spanning rock, soul and funk. Alongside his career as a musician, he has also worked as an author and appeared on stage in productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar. Over the decades, he has established himself as a fixture on the German-speaking music scene.

His achievements include over 20 released albums, numerous tours and a loyal fan base that particularly values him for his authentic lyrics and energetic live concerts. He remains musically active in 2025 and continues to release new projects.
