The HI-FIBER4 SYSTEM...combines two LC-Duplex connections on the surface area of an XLR connector. It locks reliably by push-pull technology, sheltering the delicate interior with a spring-loaded protecting tube and two prongs which also double as a slide-in aid.The properly functioning strain relief with sleeve support and the massive aluminium protective cover guarantee a trouble-free operation under tough conditions on the road.The matching HI-FIBER4-FD socket can either be front or rear mounted in panels with 4 mm max. thickness. It has the same mating pattern on both sides, so alternatively it can be loaded directly with standard LC connectors as well. On the other hand it will also double as a direct extension adapter. The main advantage of the HICON HI-FIBER4-system is its field assembling suitability. SOMMER CABLE offers special tuitions for this purpose. The bright spot with an overview... The HICON HI-FIBER connector gives you that, because it fits all 4-fibre cables and, with a little practice, you can carry out repairs on site yourself. Our roadworthy HICON HI-FIBER connector system is based on 4 optical LC fibre optic cables that are protected by a robust, compact metal housing. It consists of a cable plug and an installation socket in compact D-flange format, which can also be used as a universal cable coupling for extension (cascading). You can also use the socket to connect the HI-FIBER system with up to 4 conventional LC cables (or 2 LC duplex cables) and connect it to existing LC systems or LC/ST or LC/SC adapters - simply plug in the LC and you're done.The 4-way LC cable connector housing with protection class IP68, including protective cap but without LC connector, is suitable for cable diameters from 5 to 9 mm. Recommended cables are SC-Octopus-G 590-0111-04(-OM3) and 590-0311-04(-OM3). Matching colour coding rings are HI-UC colour.

SC-OCTOPUS PUR...Just like the installation version, our super flexible PUR field cable is now fitted with OM3 high-speed glass fibers with no exception. This allows the cost-efficient use of fiber optical systems for mobile applications, as the cable is not thicker or heavier than an NF cable, yet many times more resilient. As with the above-mentioned installation version, the breakout point has our proven dual screw connection with silicone insert.Additionally the splice is fitted with a protective hose to serve as transport protection and also as a pull-in/reeling aid.
