HICON BNC 12G-SDI crimp-female connector, ground isolated, Type D, gold
The BNC connector (Bayonet Neill Concelman) is one of the best-known coaxial connectors and was invented at the end of the 1940s. It is available with 50 or 75 Ω characteristic impedance and is primarily used in radio, video, medical and computer technology. Our connectors fulfil the requirements of IEC 169-8, MIL-C-39012.
While RG and video connectors for the analogue sector are relatively easy to produce, the currently required 3G/6G/12G standards require high-quality, precise manufacturing technology that can produce in the lowest tolerance ranges. The corresponding machines are largely manufactured in Germany and also refine HICON connector production.
The HICON
BNC-HD and 6G connectors for digital serial video transmission are among the few top class connectors on the market and are technically at the highest level. This is why they are used in numerous radio/broadcast/HDTV transmissions.
The HICON HD-SDI and 6G-SDI series not only has a gold-plated pin, but also a hard gold-plated shield housing, which keeps the skin effect as low as possible.
The HD-SDI/3G-SDI broadcast BNC panel jack (crimp 75 Ω) has hard gold-plated contact surfaces (4 μm) and an internal thread in the pin receptacle. The housing is made of hard gold-plated brass/beryllium bronze and has a corrosion-resistant finish. This 2-pin female connector is ground-insulated and suitable for SC-Vector Plus 1.2/5.0, SC-Vector Plus 1.2/4.8DZ, SC-Astral LLX as well as Transit MC3031 and Transit MC3231 cables without colour coding.
