this is how our new generation of high-quality digital SAT cables steps up. For this line we have implemented the latest manufacturing techniques like we also employ them in our professional broadcasting video cables. They feature a gas-injected insulation which has been given a “double skin“ insulation smoothing treatment to guarantee constantly excellent attenuation and shielding values as well as low transfer impedances. Due to the DECT mobile phone technology, WLAN and the German E-network which use the same gigahertz range as various TV programmes, a clean, tight shielding is indispensable to avoid interference from electro-magnetic interference fields. The employed foils are overlapping and AL/PT coated to prevent them from tearing in case of stretching or temperature fluctuations.
We use a high-quality Class 6N oxygen-free copper (OFC 99.9999%) which – given a competent laying – is oxidation resistant. During the cable making process it can be drawn much more cleanly, which in turn has an influence on the electrical values and guarantees low tolerances as to the wave impedance. The high-quality S-PVC outer jacket is age-proof, moisture-repellent and has a very easy-to-fit construction.

The BNC connector (Bayonet Neill Concelman) is one of the best-known coaxial connectors and was invented at the end of the 1940s. It is available with 50 or 75 Ω characteristic impedance and is primarily used in radio, video, medical and computer technology. Our connectors fulfil the requirements of IEC 169-8, MIL-C-39012.While RG and video connectors for the analogue sector are relatively easy to produce, the currently required 3G/6G/12G standards require high-quality, precise manufacturing technology that can produce in the lowest tolerance ranges. The corresponding machines are largely manufactured in Germany and also refine HICON connector production. The HICON BNC-HD and 6G connectors for digital serial video transmission are among the few top class connectors on the market and are technically at the highest level. This is why they are used in numerous radio/broadcast/HDTV transmissions. The HICON HD-SDI and 6G-SDI series not only has a gold-plated pin, but also a hard gold-plated shield housing, which keeps the skin effect as low as possible.The HD-SDI/3G-SDI broadcast micro BNC cable connector (crimp 75 Ω) with hard gold-plated contact surfaces (4 μm) and internal thread in the pin receptacle has a hard gold-plated, corrosion-resistant brass/beryllium bronze housing. This 2-pin, male connector is suitable for SC-Vector 0.8/3.7 cables and can be processed with the HT-CRIMPSET tool.
