These German-made microphone split transformers are custom-manufactured for SOMMER CABLE and impress by their linearity, little oscillation tendency and low coil impedances. The housings are designed for print mounting, have a Mu metal screen and thus guarantee an optimal shielding from interfering signals. We also supply the matching single pc boards for the SOMMER transformers – the SOMMER SPLIT BOARD for DIY assembly. This board is designed both for the 1:1 SPLIT and the 1:1+1 SPLIT in connection with a NEUTRIK® NC3FDH and is also available as a 4-channel version with 30 mm contact spacing for single-channel split solutions up to multi-channel splitter systems.
For extremely demanding applications we recommend the transformers of the Swedish manufacturer LUNDAHL. The LL1570 type is designed for microphone split applications with a maximum input level of +16 dBU, the LL5402 is a special line split transformer for max. line levels of 22 dBU (distortion < 1 % at 50 Hz). We deliver both models separately or on a ready-made 4-channel board with resonance damping and signal isolation. The 4-channel modules have been optimised for the use in SYSBOXX housings; these can be found in the “Modular Systems“ section. Both transformers fully comply with all broadcasting specifi cations.
