Meanwhile the computer periphery was able to agree upon the coherent and user-friendly USB connection format. The upgrade from the formerly available version 1.1 to 2.0 allows a data transfer rate of 480 MBit/s. Our 2.0 USB cables (with UL approbation) which are available from stock are of course downwardcompatible with the older 1.1 version. The USB can be sub-distributed via 1 to max. 5 hubs, providing additional connections. Suitable USB hubs are listed in the “Active Components“ section. The USB cable comprises 2 x AWG24 (supply) + 2 x AWG28 (data) wire pairs in one PVC jacket fitted with the A- or B-connectors resp. Thus e.g. printers, keyboard, mouse, ISDN modem, digicam, speaker, scanner etc. may be connected to the PC.
