nows how to impress with a bandwidth of up to 40 Gbit/s and a frequency of 2.000 MHz. This makes the new CAT installation cable the perfect choice for high-speed structured cabling networks in data centers, medical technology or military communication.

The CAT.8.2 cable (art. no. 580-0828FC) offers maximum safety due to its halogen-free, LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket. It meets the strict requirements of CPR fire protection class B2ca (difficult to ignite, low heat release) and complies with the IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60754-1/2 standards.

Its double shielding – consisting of individually shielded wire pairs (PimF) and an overall copper braiding – ensures an interference-free transmission even in challenging environments. Whether Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+/PoE++) with up to 100 watts, VoIP or data transmissions: the SC-Mercator guarantees maximum reliability.

Another highlight is the compatibility with GG45 and AR45 connectors in addition to the standard RJ45 interface, which allows for additional flexibility when selecting the infrastructure.

The cable meets all requirements of application classes 1 and 2 (CAT8.1 and CAT8.2), which provide for a maximum link length of 30 m (98.4 ft.) and is also downward compatible with all lower network classes. Therefore, it also complies with categories CAT.7a, CAT.7, CAT.6a, CAT.6, CAT5e and CAT.5.

The CAT.8 network cable in the halogen-free LSZH jacket impresses with large performance reserves and excellent quality, among others to meet the standards IEC 60332-1-2, IEC 60754-1/2, IEC 61034-1/2 as well as the high fire protection class B2ca (flame retardant, low heat release). It has a high-quality 2-fold shielding of individually shielded wire pairs (PimF) plus overall braiding of tinned copper and is suitable for applications up to a transmission frequency of 2000MHz, as well as Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+/POE++), the transmission of digital and analog signals, video, data, voice and VoIP (Voice over IP).
