The HICON© BNC 12G-SDI panel-mount crimp sockets from Sommer cable enable a reliable, standard-compliant integration of high-resolution 4K and UHD signals. Ideal for broadcast, studio, and professional AV installations where ultimate signal quality is required.
When increasing data rates make even the smallest deviations visible, every detail counts. The 75Ω crimp-type panel-mount sockets are available for coaxial cables with these measures: 0.6/2.8 mm, 0.8/3.7 mm, 1.2/5.0 mm , and 1.6/7.0 mm, and due to precise manufacturing, ensure a stable, low-loss signal transmission. A 4 μm hard gold plating on the contact surfaces, along with the hard gold-plated brass housing, guarantees an optimum corrosion resistance and long-term operational reliability – even under demanding conditions of service. The crimping technology enables a mechanically secure and attenuation-optimized direct connection between cable and socket.
Thanks to the standardized 1/2" thread, the sockets can be neatly integrated into panels, racks, or equipment units. Alternatively, the sockets are also available in a rugged D-flange metal housing. Owing to the proven BNC bayonet lock, connections can be made quickly and secured reliably – ideal for time-critical broadcast and production environments.
