Along with an increasing number of audio and video formats comes a growing number of input and output signals. Often media engineers, AV designers and integrators have to face a big challenge: classic signal management systems with fixed input and output formats simply don’t offer the required flexibility. For instance, it’s particularly desirable to also have an integrated PoH voltage supply in connection with HDBaseT interfaces. At this point the new, modular DVM-HDBT-M-F16 4K signal matrix by CARDINAL DVM steps in.
Users can fall back on 16 slots for input and output cards, 12 of which can be used either as inputs or outputs and another 4 as outputs. Thus all matrix combinations can be realized from 1x15 to 12x4.

For this system SOMMER CABLE offers different expansion cards: the three input cards with HDMI®, VGA and HDBaseT interface feature a built-in scaler, ample EDID management and an analog audio input. The two output cards with HDMI® and HDBaseT interface were equipped with an extra analog audio output by SOMMER CABLE. The HDBaseT cards also offer RS232 and infrared interfaces and provide the intelligent PoH power supply to the transmitter or receiver. HDMI® and HDBaseT interfaces support HDMI® 2.0 signals with the HDCP 2.2 copy protection standard as well as resolutions up to 4K@60fps. The VGA input card supports up to WUXGA signals at 60fps. Available is also a plain audio card with a microphone input.
The DVM-HDBT-M-F16 4K signal matrix is controlled via touchkeys on the device, via RS232, with the supplied remote as well as through a web-based interface within the TCP/IP network.
